The Coaching Agreement Explained
Every coaching client is asked to sign a "Coaching Agreement" before our first session together.
"Is this agreement a contract?"
Yes, but as you will see our agreement does not legally bind either of us in any way. It is a good-faith agreement that describes my professional obligations to you and the nature of our relationship. This agreement is informational, not binding. Our agreement also clearly states that either of us can end our relationship at any time without notice or penalty for any reason whatsoever or for no reason at all. In this respect, there is no downside to signing such an agreement. The main value of it is that it lays out what you can expect from me.
Here are a few features of our agreement:
1) As your Intuitive Life Coach I agree to conduct myself in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Professional coaches like me abide by a high Code of Ethics. I pattern my business after the general principles described in the ICF (International Coaching Federation) Code of Ethics. You can read them HERE.
2) I expect you to be ready and available for our session on the agreed-upon day and time. "Being ready" for our meeting includes you being SOBER and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This helps you get the most benefit from our sessions.
3) I agree to keep everything we discuss in our sessions confidential and to keep secure and confidential any notes that I may make.
This agreement allows either of us to end our relationship at any time without notice for any reason- or for no reason at all without charge or penalties of any kind.
